| 多発性骨髄腫 multiple myeloma |
・Almost 80% of patients with multiple myeloma will have radiological evidence of skeletal involvement on the skeletal survey.
・One of the major disadvantages of plain radiography is its high false-negative rate of 30−70%,
・vertebrae in 66%,
・ribs in 45%,
・skull in 40%,
・shoulder in 40%,
・pelvis in 30%,
・long bones in 25%
・SENSITIVITY OF BONE SCANS VS RADIOGRAPHS
・RADIOGRAPHS: in 90% of patients & 80% sites
・BONE SCAN: in 75% of patients & 24-25% of sites
・Extramedually multiple myeloma is uncommon. 4.4%
・Mandible bone: rarely affected by metastasis.
